1. How do I know what size unit I need for my room or home?
A. Our accredited technician will come to your home and assess, plan, and advise on what size and system is best suited for your needs. The flexible units accommodate any floor plan and we advise on the best position for maximum benefit.
2. How long will it take to install?
A. Normally a one unit installation will be 4 hours from start to finish – leaving your home tidy and ready to push start!
3. Are the Daikin units economical to run?
A. Yes, they are among the most economical to run of all heat pumps and each product has between 4 and 7-star ratings for energy efficiency.
4. Are they quiet running?
A. The acoustically insulated ducting which is a key feature of Daikin means they are whisper quiet.
5. Are they reliable?

6. Do they come with a Guarantee?
A. All domestic Daikin heat pump products have a 5-year Parts and Labour warranty, a 12-36-month warranty on commercial units and a 12-month warranty on air conditioners.
7. Are they easy to use?
A. Yes, simple to use with a digital touch screen phone or tablet control and WiFi connectivity.
8. Do they have a Code of Compliance when installed?
A. Yes, our specialist Daikin and SmartVent-approved team always give a code of compliance on completion of installation.
9. Are they good value for money?

10. Will they help reduce condensation in my home?
A. Yes. One main function of heat pumps is to dry your home by removing moist air and replacing it with dry, clean, contaminant-free air. They have a dry mode which increases the drying capacity of the heat pump.
11. Does it help people with Asthma and Allergies?
A. Definitely! Daikin heat pumps are the only ones that have been approved by the Asthma Foundation’s Sensitive Choice Program to carry the Butterfly Symbol. Daikin heat pumps are fitted with an air-purifying filter, and most are fitted with a more advanced Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Air-Purifying filter. Daikin also sell an Air Purifier unit.
12. Are they suitable for heating hard-to-heat areas of the home?

13. Why should I choose a heat pump over other forms of heating?
A. Heat Pumps are the most economical and instant form of heating (or cooling). They are clean, tidy, stylish, quiet, and unobtrusive – and there is no chance of anyone getting burnt. Heat Pumps
are thermostatically controlled so only go when required therefore saving energy. No permit is required for a heat pump to be installed.
14. What is the advantage of the floor models over against high-wall models?
A. The heat is emitted low down, therefore creating fewer drafts. These units are particularly suited to installation where there has been an inbuilt fireplace or a wall recess. They are more suited to high stud houses.
15. What is the advantage of a ducted system?
A. With a ducted system, you get discreet air conditioning, either warm or cool, distributed right throughout your home. The indoor unit is concealed in the ceiling out of sight and one outdoor unit is located outside. Only the controller, the return air and discharge grilles are visible inside your home. The ducted system gives an even temperature, but you also have flexibility so that you are not wasting power on heating unused rooms.
16. Do you need to keep the doors and windows to outside closed when you have your heat pump on?
A. Yes, this is important for them to work efficiently and is especially important in extreme conditions.
