Heat pump supply and install Tararua and Wairarapa regions

Heat pump installer Tararua and Wairarapa regions. Heat pumps are well and truly the way more New Zealanders are choosing to heat (and cool) their homes, offices, and rental properties.

Their popularity is enduring and although other heating options continue to hover in the background, it’s clear that heat pumps have raced to the top of the charts and stayed there for the past twenty-odd years.

Not everyone knows that heat pumps can both heat and cool – the heat pump label is a bit of a misnomer because the ability to switch functions to hot or cold means it’s truly one of the most versatile systems on the market today. These features have exponentially increased user approval of the heat pump as an internal climate moderator, worldwide.

The ingenious designs that are utilised not just in heat pump manufacturing but also air purification and air conditioning systems make it easy for the team at Taref to help you choose the right product for your home or commercial enterprise.

That team is led by Dana and Richard Fleming who have many years’ industry-experience in how to make the internal atmosphere of your property feel beautiful – in fact, these two are aficionados of comfort.

Their solutions for heating and cooling, purifying, and ventilating are the best around, and the team are happy to offer free demonstrations and well-founded advice on how you can translate their experience into fulfilling your ambient needs.

Why not choose warmer (or cooler) drier, cleaner air for your family, tenants, or workspace?

Your environmental requirements will be well-met with this selection:

Heat Pumps and Air Conditioning; wall-mounted, floor-mounted, ducted, multi-flow; Air Purifiers, SmartVent Ventilation and HeatTrans Heat Transfer.

Here’s a summary of the products we recommend for your needs.

Wall Mounted.

These popular options are a perfectly stylish European design solution available in three elegant models: Zena, US7 and Cora – Daikin’s R-Series. All three have several size options, each with different capabilities, applications, and price points, and we’ll advise you on the right one for your space. Wi-Fi connection is built-in for optional extra smartphone control.

Floor Mounted.

Tucked away in an unobtrusive spot, our compact floor mounted heat pumps quietly work to keep your room beautifully comfortable. If you like, we can install semi-recessed or in an unused fireplace space – either way, we know you’ll love the look and the ambience they deliver. Ask us about the stunning Nexura Series; quiet, discreet, state of the art technology.

Ducted Air Conditioning.

Ducted systems are quiet, almost entirely hidden and provide an even temperature throughout your entire home. Once installed only the controller, suction and discharge grilles are visible so when visitors arrive all they’ll notice is the feeling of luxury. Available in several models and able to be retrofitted or tailored to fit any sized ceiling space.

Super Multi NX.

As the name suggests, Multi-split heat pumps can heat or cool up to five rooms using only one outdoor unit connected to multiple indoor units. The Multi NX range is tailored to be wall or floor mounted, bulkheaded, ducted or cassette style. Each room can be set to a different temperature, making this series one of the most flexible heating and cooling systems available today.

Air Purifiers.

New Zealanders are one of the highest sufferers of asthma and other allergy-related ailments in the world. When the case to improve the quality of the air you breathe becomes compelling, consider the Daikin Air Purifier. This quiet, clever system filters and destroys bacteria, airborne particles, viruses, moulds, pollen, and dust so that you and your family can sleep easy at night. Recognised by Asthma Foundation NZ.

SmartVent home and commercial ventilation supply and install Tararua and Wairarapa

SmartVent is the domestic and commercial ventilation system that most builders recommend.

As one of New Zealand’s most respected and versatile home ventilation installations, Kiwi-owned SmartVent has over 30 years’ experience in the research, development, and production of ventilation products that thousands of property owners can vouch for.

Each SmartVent product uses hospital-grade filters and acoustically insulated ducting and provides a dynamic system to suit any requirement.

All can be operated by a simple yet sophisticated smart controller and all are future-proofed for optional upgrades such as a heat transfer kit (selected models), second air source, PTC room heater, tempering heaters, and core bypass.

A clean, dry home is vital for the well-being of you and your family, and the composite health of your interior structures and fittings.

Talk to our team and we’ll sort a system that’s right for you.

SmartVent Positive.

The SmartVent Positive Pressure system is the perfect solution to eliminate condensation, mould, and bacteria issues in your home. Clean, dry air is brought in from your roof space and/or from under a soffit directly outside, whilst moist air is forced (pressured) to be expelled. With the filtering comes clean, virus and contaminate-free air ready to be noiselessly distributed into each room.

SmartVent Synergy.

Heat recovery systems are a sensible and cost-effective option which reuses up to 90% of the warmth you’ve already created. Think of it as a synchronised wheel of warmth: external air is pulled in using SmartVent’s filter systems, existing (moist) air is extracted, the resultant warm, dry air is then recycled through the repetition of that process. Combine SmartVent Synergy with a heat pump and you have an incredible duo which works hard to give you all the air control you could possibly need.

SmartVent Integra.

SmartVent Integra integrates any ducted heat pump with SmartVent Synergy to achieve healthy home ventilation with up to 90% heat recovery. We reckon it’s the ultimate ventilation and heating solution, as Integra not only recovers heat from inside your home (as with Synergy) it also passes the air through a ducted heat pump which heats the air to your desired temperature. Imagine fresh filtered air that is warm … and of a quality to dream about.

Heat Transfer systems supply and install Tararua and Wairarapa

Can you imagine waking up on a winter’s morning to the luxury of an evenly-warmed home? For both single or multi-story properties, installing a HeatTrans system will achieve this blissful sensation for you, day in, day out.

HeatTrans is a sensible system which works by taking heat that’s generated from something like your SmartVent Positive Pressure system, heat pump or log burner and transferring it via insulated ducting to three or four more rooms.
Moving existing heat from your main source (such as your lounge) and into other areas means the cost of heating each room separately becomes null and void. HeatTrans enables 67% of the heat already on tap to warm and ventilate at the same time, reducing costs, condensation – and the unpleasant sensation of waking up with chilly toes.

HeatTrans systems are known for their ‘whisper quiet’ operation. They are the only system on the market to include acoustic insulated ducting, used to achieve maximum heat transfer with minimum noise.
Touch screen control makes setting and maintaining temperature levels easily manageable, and you can also control exactly how much air flows into each room with HeatTrans’ adjustable diffusers.
HeatTrans are also suitable to be utilised for summer cooling using the Summer-Vent Extension Kit.

Call our team today and we’ll show you how to maximise and enhance the effects of your current heating and cooling set up – or talk to you about a whole home overhaul and retrofit.

11. Does it help people with Asthma and Allergies?
A. Definitely! Daikin heat pumps are the only ones that have been approved by the Asthma Foundation’s Sensitive Choice Program to carry the Butterfly Symbol. Daikin heat pumps are fitted with an air-purifying filter, and most are fitted with a more advanced Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Air-Purifying filter. Daikin also sell an Air Purifier unit.

13. Why should I choose a heat pump over other forms of heating?
A. Heat Pumps are the most economical and instant form of heating (or cooling). They are clean, tidy, stylish, quiet, and unobtrusive – and there is no chance of anyone getting burnt. Heat Pumps
are thermostatically controlled so only go when required therefore saving energy. No permit is required for a heat pump to be installed.

14. What is the advantage of the floor models over against high-wall models?
A. The heat is emitted low down, therefore creating fewer drafts. These units are particularly suited to installation where there has been an inbuilt fireplace or a wall recess. They are more suited to high stud houses.

15. What is the advantage of a ducted system?
A. With a ducted system, you get discreet air conditioning, either warm or cool, distributed right throughout your home. The indoor unit is concealed in the ceiling out of sight and one outdoor unit is located outside. Only the controller, the return air and discharge grilles are visible inside your home. The ducted system gives an even temperature, but you also have flexibility so that you are not wasting power on heating unused rooms.

16. Do you need to keep the doors and windows to outside closed when you have your heat pump on?
A. Yes, this is important for them to work efficiently and is especially important in extreme conditions.
